who celebrated his 87th birthday on 15 July 2020,
passed away peacefully at his home last night.

So sad!! the best guitarist of all time. I have always been a great admirer and will continue to be.

Julian Bream has meant much to me, and always will.

Julian Bream’s playing of Bach in the 1960s influenced me to move away from the electric guitar to classical guitar and to classical music, especially baroque music, and the lute music of Dowland. I remember my first efforts trying to play the Bouree from the E minor suite from the record (it worked all right with Hank Marvin) and failing so miserably I had to learn to read music.
